Presentation

Scientific presentations will be held either orally or by poster and will be given preferentially in German.

Oral Presentation

Usually, presentations will have the following durations. For exact information, please refer to your division.

  • Contributed talks are 15 minutes (including ca. 3 min discussion/speaker change) (unless otherwise stated in the program booklet!)
  • Invited talks are 30 minutes (including ca. 5 min discussion/speaker change)
  • Plenary talks are 45 minutes (including ca. 10 min biography/discussion/speaker change)

All lecture halls and seminar rooms are equipped with electronic presentation technique (beamers, aspect ratio 4:3) and computers that allows you to bring your presentation (pdf or PowerPoint) on an USB memory stick and transfer it to the computer before the start of the session. Of course it is also possible to bring your own laptop.

All lecture theatres will be opened, at the latest, 30 minutes prior to the lecture. Speakers are requested to be in the lecture hall at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the session, reporting to the chairperson of the session as well as the technical staff to ensure the laptops handshake with the projectors (“beamers”) and to receive a brief introduction to the equipment in the lecture hall.

Poster

The poster sessions will take place on Thursday and Saturday in the Curie-Building of TU Ilmenau (C113+vestibule).

The poster boards will be marked with the number according to the scientific program. The boards are optimized for posters not larger than 70 cm in width and 100 cm in height, but also posters up to DIN A0 can be hung up. Please hang up your poster when you arrive at the conference, so the posters can be visited during the whole conference and not only during poster session. The room of the posters is opposite the conference office.

For the mounting of the poster please use the provided mounting material (residue-free) at the poster frame or contact the student staff available at the poster area. The presenting authors should be at hand for discussion at their poster during at least half of the poster session and should note this time at the poster.

The posters should be removed at the end of the conference. Any posters remaining on poster boards will be removed and disposed without notice.

The conference management accepts no liability for the posters!
