All seminar rooms are equipped with beamers and computers.
Note that your presentations must be uploaded to the corresponding machine in the break before the session (or 10 min before the talk at the latest). A member of the auxiliary staff will be present in the seminar rooms to assist you.
The following software is available on the computers:
- Windows: PowerPoint (including pptx format), Acrobat Reader
- MAC: Keynote, Power Point, Acrobat Reader
- Linux: OpenOffice
Note that not all fonts are installed and we advise you to have a look at your presentation before your talk.
Also, observe the time allocated for your presentation in order to have time for questions:
- Plenary talks: 40 minutes + 5 minutes for questions
- Invited talks: 25 minutes + 5 minutes for questions
- Contributed talks: 15 minutes + 5 minutes for questions
You can either give your talk in German or in English, but we recommend the use of English slides. And please inform us beforehand, if you intend to use movies with sound.
Due to a broad audience at the DPT (from freshman to postdocs) who is familiar with various topics of physics, the presentations should not be too subject-specific.
