Mentoring

During the lunch break on saturday, interested students/graduate students are offered the opportunity to meet with professionally or postdoc experienced physicists in order to discuss about topics like studies, fields of work (e.g. within and beyond the economy) and career (e.g. career planning strategies and funding possibilities, reconciliation of work and family life, experiences abroad etc.).

Mentors and mentees can propose topics depending on their interests or experience that they would like to share. Therefore, a list was released for those who have enrolled as mentees or mentors during registration until mid-September. In the list some topics are presented but its also open for further suggestions. Interested attenders can sign up as either mentee or mentor for the different topics, so that groups can be put together according to their interests/questions.

The list will be available during the conference in the conference office (registration desk) so that spontaneous registrations for the mentoring program are possible, whenever the capacity is available.
