By car:

Take the highway exit #72 towards ''Göttingen Nord'' of the A7 highway. This brings you to the four-lane main road #27. After about 4.5 km continue straight at the major traffic light intersection. Follow this road and after crossing another two traffic lights, turn right after the mall (Burger King, Joe's pizza, Tegut,...) in the direction of ''Klinikum''. Then turn left at the next intersection, which brings you to ''Robert-Koch Straße'' and the North campus of Göttingen. After crossing the bridge, take a right turn at the next crossing onto ''Goldschmidtstraße''. Many free-of-charge parking possibilities are available in this area. The Institute of Physics is the first building on the left. The Max Planck Institute of Solar System Research is located at the northern end of the parking lot.

By train:

Göttingen main train station The main train station in Göttingen is in the centre of the city. There is a direct service from the train station/ZOB to the North campus of Göttingen with bus route #21 (in direction of Nikolausberg), #23 (in direction of Faßberg), #41 (in direction of Weende-Ost) as well as #22 (in direction of Nikolausberg) to ''Tammannstraße'' (#21, #22 and #23) and ''Goldschmidtstraße'' (#41), respectively.
