Physics and Astronomy Club Wolke7 for Female Pupils

The Physics and Astronomy Club Wolke7 for Female Pupils of the University of Heidelberg invites all interested pupils to the following two workshops:

1. Fascinating Astronomy

Have you always wanted to know why planets orbit around the sun and how one can imagine a black hole? How can one tell that the universe started with the big bang?
In this workshop, you will learn more more about these interesting questions and other fascinating topics in astronomy. With exciting experiments you will learn more about principals in physics, as well as you will have the opportunity to talk to experts.

When: Thursday, October 31st 2013, 9:00 – 10:30

Where: ITA/Physikalisches Institut, Philosophenweg 12, 69120 Heidelberg; Room Nr. 52 (first floor)

 

2. Magic in Physics

In this course you will conduct a variety of amazing experiments while learning more about the fascinating world of physics. If you have always wanted to let puffed rice hop, a geyser spring, or see and understand how water can fly, then you are just right in this workshop!

When: Thursday, October 31st 2013, 11:00 – 12:30

Where: ITA/Physikalisches Institut, Philosophenweg 12, 69120 Heidelberg; Room Nr. 52 (first floor)

 

These courses are each limited to 15 pupils and address female pupils aged between 11 and 14 years.
